In this session, I will discuss why you need the expertise of an online triathlon coach:

to ensure your training is progressive
to prevent injury
to optimise recovery and prevent overtraining
for convenience of planning your training around your lifestyle with online access to your sessions 24/7
to regularly feedback with, discuss and monitor your training
Lionel Fairweather who is a Sports Psychologist and will be talking on how to improve your racing performance and dealing with issues that affect us all. The talk is going to be geared towards endurance athletes and will be suitable for Cyclist, Runners, Rowers Triathletes and anyone else who partakes in an endurance sport. From this talk you will get an insight into how training yourself mentally will improve performance and deal with set backs and frustrations eg injury. Lionel will also be offering 15 min consultations after his talk for anyone who is interested in his work.
Talk 4 By Greg Bryce is an age group GB triathlete and runs a company call Tri and Run. Greg specialise in building bikes for triathletes and cyclists. Greg will be giving a talk on "Bike Set Up How It Can Improve Performance, Comfort and Prevent injury". Greg who is a specialist in this area by the end of the talk you will understand the importance of correct bike set up, the effects of different materials wheels etc. What to look for when buying a new bike and how to improve your existing race set up. There will be plenty of time for questions and Greg will be around after the talk for further consultations if you wish.
Physiotherapist Specialists in Running and Orthotics. Mark will be discussing the role of orthotics in running and whether they can improve performance and prevent injury. This will be an interactive session with a number of videos looking at running technique, pelvic instability, foot pronation and injuries association. By the end of the talk you will understand what an orthotic is and how it can aid performance and injury prevention you will also realise and understand how technique and pelvic stability work in order to improve performance and prevent injury.
Mark will also be carrying out some free running assessments on the day booking essential.
