We were delighted to introduce Yoga to the clinic earlier this year. Our instructor, Bridget Sanderson leads a dynamic class especially for active individuals looking to reap Yoga’s proven benefits. Bridget’s philosophy is that whatever your sport yoga can improve your performance. The inevitable gains in flexibility, balance and whole body strength, improve form, efficiency and power. Yoga’s approach to concentration and breath awareness promotes both mental focus and endurance. Yoga is the perfect antidote to both the stresses of intensive physical activity and of modern day life. The practice of Yoga Asana (the physical poses) and the Pranayama (breath exercises) will teach you how to integrate the body, the breath and the mind to stay calm and focused; a skill that will serve you in every aspect of your life.
A weekly class is held within our Fitness Studio, which offers a welcoming environment in which you can achieve positive effects to your overall health and wellbeing. No previous experience of Yoga is needed; Bridget will support, guide and motivate you through a challenging but rewarding routine. An extended Saturday morning class is also held monthly, as a complement to the weekly sessions.
Please note that due to the energetic delivery of the class it is not suitable for pregnant women unless they already have an established yoga practice.
The fitness team is readily available to discuss your personal needs and goals either over the phone or here at the clinic in a free of charge consultation. At Physio4Life, our clients’ are the number one priority and so their opinion is important to us. We encourage feedback on all our treatments and services.
