Improving balance exercises
This paper talks about the ways in which we can improve our proprioception (how our body talks to our brain to let it know where it is and what it’s doing) when maintaining balance. The outcome of the study was that, exercises that focus on getting people to stand on unstable surfaces, such as cushions etc. may not indeed help ankle proprioception, and it may be the body’s ability to shift weight that’s being tested.
