Marios is originally from Cyprus and has completed his undergraduate studies in the Netherlands graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. He has previously worked as a personal trainer and assisted a wheelchair rugby team in Amsterdam, also completed an internship at a FIFA sports rehabilitation centre.
Following his studies, his career brought him to the U.K. in order to further develop professionally. He started working both in the NHS and in a private practice in Kent before moving to London for his Master’s degree at UCL. Whilst completing his degree he worked in private practise as a physiotherapist. Marios was the first-team physiotherapist for an U18 Rugby team and has been part of a 6 member medical team for Figure Ice Skating World Championships 2020 in Nottingham. He has valuable experience working with both semi-professional and professional athletes who have diverse needs and a variety of musculoskeletal injuries.
His area of specialisation is Sport and general Musculoskeletal health. Marios believes that ‘exercise is medicine’ and uses manual therapy and other skills in addition to exercise prescription to enhance healing and rehabilitation.
He has military experience from time spent in the Special Forces and has a special interest in exercise rehabilitation for injuries. Marios believes in finding a quick resolution to symptoms and encouraging an early and safe return to exercise.
