Bio

Peter grew up in Brisbane, Australia, and has recently moved to London to further his physiotherapy career. He graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 2018, and after graduation immediately started working in a local physiotherapy clinic. During his time at this clinic, Peter treated a wide range of patients and conditions with an emphasis on neck, lower back, shoulder, and knee pain. In his last yer of work before moving to London, Peter was working at a Specialist Upper Limb Clinic in Brisbane City. The physiotherapy team at this clinic worked very closely with an esteemed team of consultant orthopaedic surgeons. Peter gained valuable experience in treating upper limb (shoulder, neck, and elbow) conditions working alongside very experienced senior physiotherapists and surgical consultants. The primary conditions Peter treated at this practice were:

  • Rotator cuff injuries,
  • Labral injuries and shoulder instability,
  • Tennis and golfer’s elbow,
  • Neck pain especially with referred pain into the shoulder or arm, and
  • Shouder blade/upper back pain

Although he has specialised experience in the upper limb, Peter is passionate about treating all conditions and wants to get you back to doing what is important to you, whether that is: running, gym, sport, or simply playing with your kids. One of the primary motivators for Peter becoming a physiotherapist was undergoing an ACL reconstruction in 2016. This personal experience of a long and difficult rehabilitation gave him a different perspective on injury and recovery and drives him to give the best treatment possible. This experience as well as his time in private practice has given Peter a keen interest in knee and ankle rehabilitation too.

Peter comes from an elite sporting background in Australia, swimming at a junior national level then going on to compete at the highest level of water polo in Australia, playing in the Men’s National League competition for several years. From playing water polo Peter has a great appreciation of overhead sports and injuries including:

  • Tennis
  • Cricket
  • Swimming
  • Baseball and,
  • Voleyball

Due to his training history, he is very comfortable in a gym environment and is keen to get people moving and exercising as part of their treatment program. He is a strong believer in injury prevention and will look to evaluate all the contributing factors to your problem in order to give the best long-term outcomes.
