Bio

Born and raised in Cyprus, Evagoras completed his schooling, and also served as a Corporal in the Cyprus National Guard for two years. Following his miliitary service, his journey led him to the UK where he completed his BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Evagoras went on to Nottingham University where he obtained his MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine, a degree that focuses beyond the scope of physiotherapy to manage orthopaedic injuries. His degree has a strong focus on using exercise for treating health conditions and focuses on rehabilitating elite athletes and the general population.

In parallel with his studies, Evagoras’ avid interest in sports led him to volunteer at a Nottingham Forest Ladies Football Team where he treated a wide age group of patients. After the completion of his degree, Evagoras worked for a number of years as the Head Academy Physiotherapist and First Team Assistant at Peterborough United Football Club, supporting elite athletes on a day-to-day basis. During his time at the club he especially focused on injury assessment and rehabilitation.

Alongside the assessment and treatment of sports specific injuries, his experience in elite sports equipped Evagoras with the much needed knowledge around injury prevention, as well as strength and conditioning, which he utilises to return his clients to a pre-injury level as well as to prevent future injuries. He complements his treatments by utilising other techniques, such as taping, acupuncture, dry needling and manual therapy. Evagoras’ knowledge and experience have given him the necessary skills to support patients in returning to high performance sport as quickly and safely as possible. Throughout his career, Evagoras established connections with some of the leading specialists in the musculoskeletal field to deliver optimum service.

Evagoras has experience in treating both Upper and Lower limb injuries with a special interest in all sports, post-operative and running specific injuries, including but not limited to, muscle, knee, hip and groin injuries. He developed his interest through practice and by acquiring training from various courses, completing additional qualifications such as in strength and conditioning for injury rehabilitation, as well as acupuncture and dry needling.

Evagoras believes that exercise is the key to achieving long term targets and optimum pain relief. He believes patient education and self-management are essential aspects of ensuring physical and mental well-being.
