We choose Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy aims to restore and promote movement and function to a wide range of health conditions, performed by highly skilled practitioners. This is achieved through a range of treatment approaches, involving: – education and advice, specific movement-based exercises, acupuncture and hands-on manual therapy.
In the current climate, most people have high-pressurised jobs, which involve several hours of desk work or travel. Many people then diligently train their bodies in the gyms or partake in sports to remain fit, which is commendable. However, very few people realise the importance of correct biomechanics (the way the body should move) and correct form with exercises (the correct posture and way to execute the exercise). Physiotherapy really allows for specific patient-focused care, and helps to develop and facilitate recovery post injury. This enables people to return to work and sport as soon as possible. With people having difficulty taking time off work or sports, physiotherapy can also have a key role in injury prevention, allowing people to train muscles or movement patterns to keep them fully fit.

Had 2 sessions with John Ross... and my back is already feeling great! I went to physio mainly for back pain, traps tightness and many other issues with my back and hip. I could not believe the results after the second session. My trap is so much better, I had no back pain in days and my hip is feeling great too! Highly recommended.
I would highly recommend working with Maria at Physio4Life. Having seen several physios for a long-term knee injury, I can say that Maria Gkini is hands down the best physio I've ever worked with. In addition to her physio knowledge, Maria is also trained in acupuncture and pilates and is able to provide a holistic approach to treatment. She is also incredibly positive and always goes the extra mile to provide me with new resources and exercises to speed up my recovery. Within just a few in-person and zoom sessions, I have made so much progress in decreasing pain levels and increasing my strength and mobility, and I'm very happy to be back to running and feeling like myself again!
Unfortunately due to a number of sporting injuries i have needed to use a physio more often than I would like. I have been using physio4life for a number of years now. Everyone I have seen has been very professional and thorough. The front of house team are always friendly and helpful. The clinic is clearly very well run, giving you regular reminders for appointments. Most recently I have been seeing Stuart for physio and Paola for sports massages, both have been extremely helpful in keeping me fit and active! have recommended friends and family here to and they have all been very impressed
Very professional operation all round. Strongly advice you take an appointment even in these difficult times. Stuart gave me practical exercises and good diagnosis. All by secure Zoom video link.
I had 4 physio sessions with Stuart W this year for shin splints. I was training for a half marathon and he helped me get back on track. He gave me advice on how to adapt my training (and allowed me to keep running) and took the time to explain why my injury might have happened and how important strength training is in running. I achieved my half marathon goal despite the injury and came away with a better understanding of how to prevent injury in the future. Thanks Stuart!
Had my first online physio session with Eoghan today. I was a bit dubious beforehand but was pleasantly surprised at how well it went. I really felt that I had been fully examined and understood and had my treatment program set out and demonstrated.
The way of the future?
Just had a great online appointment with Eoghan. It was really thorough and I felt that everything was explained or demonstrated brilliantly. I felt confident leaving the session that I knew what I needed to do for my rehab program. Even though It was a different approach - being on screen rather then In person- it was great customer service and I felt I got everything I needed. I definitely recommend this great service!
I had back pain for years before coming to Physio 4 Life. In the first session Maria correctly diagnosed me with scoliosis, her knowledge of anatomy was really impressive. I have been following her personalised exercise plan for a few weeks now and I feel so much healthier, stronger and pain free. The unevenness of my back and my posture have also visibly improved so much. I cannot thank her enough for her help. Lucy Hickman has also helped release tension in my back between physio sessions and I recommend her highly for massage.
I highly recommend this place. I had deep tissue and sport massage with Paola. I have only attended twice so far but I'm already feeling the benefits. I feel much looser and fresher. She is incredibly strong and very knowledgeable. Thank you for the great experience!
I had treatment with Roxanne for several months to sort my tight hamstrings. Roxanne was absolutely fantastic and managed to sort my hamstrings out. I can now play a full game of hockey, without any issues - which was not possible before. Roxanne and the staff were a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend.
I went for an initial consultation after I injured my knee running. John was really helpful and all the staff are really friendly. After a few sessions I really started to see results following my strength exercises. I'm fully recovered and running again which is great.
Great experience with Physio4Life. I went to see Senior Physiotherapist Maria for 3 months after injuring my neck. Maria put me back on shape, she is very knowledgeable and nice too. She also provided a number of well explained exercises to build some strength back. I would definitely go back to Physio4Life and I highly recommend Maria!
I can highly recommend Physio 4 Life in Putney for treatments and exercise. The amazing team of Administrators go out of their way to help and are incredibly efficient.
The physio treatment resolved a long-standing issue and I was introduced to Daniel Wellard. Dan provides a 'no nonsense' approach to nutritional advice and a focused approach to training sessions. He ensures that you are absorbed into a community and encourages you to consistently set and achieve goals beyond your expectations.
Great Experience with everyone at Physio4Life. Friendly atmosphere and individual approach that helps you achieve your goals no matter the injury. Very professional and supportive. I would highly recommend this physio centre with no hesitation. Special thanks to John who fixed my ankle and kept my spirit up ! Great work!
Two months after a reverse total shoulder replacement in New York where I live, began working with John. If I could give him and Physio 4 Life ten stars I would. John was skilled and professional during the three months working with him. Possibly more important, his outgoing personality and never-ending cheer, enthusiasm, encouragement and optimism made me feel enthusiastic, encouraged and optimistic about my progress. Even when I suffered occasional setbacks, he always found the right 'spin' so I was never discouraged. Much to my amazement, doing right planks and swimming crawl again no longer are fantasies.
I had a great experience with Physio4Life. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I went to see Senior Physiotherapist Stuart after badly spraining my ankle and needing rehab to get back into running and playing sport. Stuart was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He explained everything in each session thoroughly so I had a good understanding of why I was being given each exercise etc. and what they would help to achieve. He encouraged me to achieve as much as possible in the shortest amount of time that was safe, and got me back to playing hockey as soon as possible. I would definitely go back to Physio4Life and would highly recommend Stuart.
I've had sessions with Lucy Sacarello for two separate problems. I could tell straight away that she knew what she was on about. When I explained what injuries I had she would immediately talk through what exercises to do and what to stay away from. The demonstrations of the exercises were clear and concise and she would always email them across at the end of the session. She is a credit to Physio 4 Life and would recommend anyone who has a concern to see her as she will put your mind at ease and always be a friendly face who is easy to talk to
Maria cured my tennis elbow. She did a fantastic job, a combination of massage, exercises and acupuncture. I really enjoyed my sessions with her and profited tremendously from her expertise. Thoroughly recommended!
Very happy with the treatment I got. I saw Lucy, physiotherapist, for neck pain and she designed a very tailored programme of exercises that I could fit into my busy life. I would highly recommend seeing her and Physio4Life generally (I have used their services before and have always been happy).
I saw John at Physio4Life for physiotherapy on a long-standing ankle and shoulder injury with the aim of being able to return to swimming.
Previous treatment elsewhere had not made a significant difference and I had begun to lose hope that I would ever return to swimming. However after working with John over a few months I am completely overjoyed that I have now been able to return to competitive club swimming with virtually no symptoms at all; a dream I didn't ever think possible.
I have recommended Physio4Life to friends and would definitely use them again in the future.
Approximately 8 weeks before a marathon I had to stop running due to pain in the front and side of my left knee. I did some on-line research and suspected it was an IT band issue but decided to get a professional opinion at Physio4Life. I was appointed Nathan for my assessment and he quickly identified a potential bio-mechanical issue and set out a course of strengthening exercises for me to complete, as well as helping correct my running style. Within 4 weeks I was running outdoors again and was quickly able to build up to longer distances without any serious issues. Thanks to Nathan I was able to complete the marathon in under 4 hours which was a personal best, so my physio wasn't just rehab it also helped improve my performance. I can't rate Nathan highly enough for his knowledge, encouragement and simple yet impactful instruction. Nathan will be my first port of call if I ever need physio again.
I attended an emergency visit for Osteopathy and met with Roxane who sorted my neck out within two visits.
I shopped around my local area for physiotherapists/osteopathy and the Physio 4 Life prices were quite reasonable.
Roxane is most knowledgeable and a great people person with good communication skills.
I can highly recommend her and I will return for further visits should I require treatment.
Grateful thanks, Roxane.
I went to physio 4 life twice so far, with pain in my shoulder and lower back. Maria and Lucy were fantastic - even after the first session I noticed an improvement, and after 2-3 sessions my pain was almost gone. They also taught me exercises to strengthen the right muscle groups so that the pain stays away! They were both very friendly and gave me advice on any questions that I had. Recommended!
I've been coming to Physio4Life for around 9 months now and started with monthly sports massages with Lucy who sorted out my tight quads and shoulders as well as advising me on the best stretches etc. I then came in for a massage with a hideous purple ankle, from yet another sprain/ligament tear (dodgy netball ankles) to which she was horrified and immediately referred me to Roxane, the osteopath, who fortunately was able to see me straight away for a consultation. She manipulated and massaged the damaged tissue and straight away my ankle felt better. I came back the next week and then a couple of weeks later and after around 4 sessions in 6 weeks I was back running again and pain free. This was back in March (6 months ago) and I have been injury free since so am eternally grateful to Roxane for fixing me and for Lucy's continued brutal sports massages that I always feel amazing for afterwards! Highly recommend these two and the practice as a whole.
I can’t thank Maria enough for getting me back long distance running again after an injury is such a short space of time. Even after my race, she has checked in on me via email and given me further exercises to continue and guidance on how to improve me running in the future. I definitely wouldn’t have been able to follow through with my race if it wasn’t for all your help, thank you again Maria!
I can’t thank Jon at physio4life enough for getting me back to running after a long term hamstring injury!
Following the support of the physio at my local gym who helped me to regain pain free mobility, I was looking for a running specialist to support me through the next recovery stage from a niggling hamstring tendinopathy,
Jon is proper running specialist - running marathons himself - he identified running muscle weakness and imbalances, putting me on strengthening program and progressively easing me back into running.
After 3 months Jon built my running strength from a slow jog over a couple of kilometres up to 10k 3 times a week and a sub 20min 5k.
I went to Physio4life worried it may not be possible to fully return after so many set backs - but Jon has made it not only possible but enjoyable.
I first went to Physio 4 Life back in February 2019 after a ski accident left me with a hip flexor injury. I was introduced to Maria who was immediately very friendly, calming and extremely professional. Putting me at ease. She put together a treatment plan for me and after a few weeks my hip was back to normal. In July 2019, whilst training for Ride London I started to experience knee pain, leaving me worried I wouldn't be able to complete the event. I booked an appointment with Maria, she was absolutely fantastic again, her professionalism, brilliant physio practice and friendly nature enabled me to build enough strength back in my knee to complete the ride, pain free. I can't recommend Physio 4 Life and Maria enough for the brilliant service I have received.
I went for physio for a second time dislocated shoulder. I was excellently looked after by Nathan Arnold. The rapid progression and regaining of function with his care was brilliant, I’m not saying I would recommend dislocating a shoulder. But if you do I would recommend physio4life and especially Nathan
Roxane is absolutely brilliant. Me and my young daughter needed treatment after a car crash and she was so understanding and thorough and warm, as well as being a brilliant osteopath. I highly highly recommend her. 🙂
I had several treatment sessions with Nathan to treat work-related neck & shoulder pain. As well as treatment for a lower-back sports injury. Nathan's medical knowledge is second to none. His ability to translate that detailed understanding into curative body treatment and strengthening exercises is outstanding. He's really personable and a great conversationalist too. All of these things make him a great Physiotherapist. I recommend him highly.
I visit Physio 4 Life mainly for Sports Massages but 5 weeks ago I sprained my ankle badly, partially tearing some ligaments. I went to see Roxanne who is a brilliant Osteopathy specialist with a wealth of knowledge especially on Cranial Release Techniques (CRT). She has worked magic on my ankle and after just 3 treatments, my ankle is strong and mobile and I am back to yoga, cycling and swimming. I would highly recommend!

I visited Maria at 25 weeks pregnant barely able to walk with what a previous physio had diagnosed as SPD and told me that there was nothing further they could do and that it would get better on its own after the baby arrived.
Maria has been amazing and found that the root cause of my issue was something very treatable and within a few sessions I was much improved and 3 weeks on I'm back to full strength! Maria is friendly, supportive and very accommodating to work schedules - I can't recommend her and the team at Physio 4 Life enough!
I’ve been visiting Stuart and John at Physio4life for three different injuries. Each time they have been great in understanding the issue, explaining what’s going on and giving me exercises to strength and ultimately heal. Most recently I aggravated my knee, six weeks ahead of a long walking race. John is a miracle worker, relieving the pain and building up the strength in the associated muscles, so much so that I can take part in the race. He is amazing - massive thanks to him and to Stuart.
I first saw Lucy because of shin splints causing me agony when I ran, and she recommended a course of exercises. Within 2 weeks of my first appointment with Lucy, I was able to compete a half marathon. I have gone back to her because I am now suffering with my IT band. I feel rest assured that I am in very capable hands, as I am already feeling the improvements after seeing her. I am a keen runner and I know Lucy will be there to prevent me from serious injury and frustrating setbacks. It's a really great clinic and the receptionist is so helpful.
Great service from the Physio and Massage!! I had Lucy for my physio, and Lucy/Andreea ahead of the London Marathon and I credit them to getting me over the finish line.
Always professional, and I really appreciate how they tailor their services, and talk to one another to ensure that you're getting the best treatment. Never any hassle!
Very easy to get to from the stations (Putney overground and East Putney), very clean and easy to pay and book.
I can't recommend Physio4Life enough!
I've been seeing Maria Gkini for the last few months after a bad netball injury. She got me to an amazing place in preparation for my surgery which has meant a much easier recovery, we are continuing to work together post-surgery in order to get me back to sports. She is attentive, very knowledgeable and takes a huge amount of care with clients. She's able to deal with any concerns I might have and I've been incredibly impressed. I would highly recommend her.
Also, the reception team are really friendly and helpful 🙂
I came to Physio 4 Life with an ankle sprain, amongst a history of ankle sprains, but given my injury-prone nature I quickly came back a few times with different issues. My physio Lucy listened to me thoroughly from the start, took time to listen to my aims for returning to sport, and was quick to understand the problem and give me a personalised plan - not only for recovering from injury but also strengthening exercises for ongoing progress. My ankle injury has improved significantly and I am back to running. She has also been extremely warm and supportive throughout!! I think Physio 4 Life's prices are very reasonable for London which I have been pleased about as well.
I was training for a marathon and was suffering from knee pain with about 6 weeks to go. I saw Nathan and he was great, clearly explained what the issue was and put me on a program to strengthen my knee and help it recover. Ran the marathon without any pain. Highly recommend Nathan; very easy to get on with, has great knowledge and clearly explains the science behind everything.
I cannot recommend Physio4Life strongly enough!
I was lucky enough to be referred there with a horrible long term ailment that gave me nearly constant pain and prevented me from sleeping. Lucy was absolutely brilliant as my physio and her knowledge, perseverance and professionalism finally cured me of what I thought was incurable. (Another) Lucy and Luba were also essential in sustaining me throughout my treatment with deep tissue massage. Finally, the booking procedure is easy to use and the administration staff are very friendly and super efficient. Ten out of ten!!
I started seeing Nathan about a niggle I had in my leg back in February after visiting one of the marathon 101 workshops Physio4Life run. He listened to my concerns and started me off with a basic plan of action to ensure it wouldn’t interfere with my Marathon training. Over the following weeks we would slowly up the exercises which helped not only improve my leg but also my running. Sunday I completed my marathon and I definitely wouldn’t have got there if it was for Nathan! I’d highly recommend him and Physio4life for anyone looking for a physio!
Fantastic place! Very friendly staff and my physio, John Ross, did an amazing job! I'd seriously damaged my ankle and six week later he had me back on my feet and I managed to run the London marathon... I couldn't have done it without you John, thanks for everything!
I have been seeing John Ross for about 4 weeks now. I came to him with several different issues, the 2 main issues being a sore ankle following a sprain in October and very frequent headaches and migraines with neck stiffness. I was recommended to go see John from one of his friends who is also a physio and because I know him I got a discount too which was very helpful.
John is a fantastic physio and within 3 weeks I am pain free. He knew exactly how to treat my issues and was so accommodating. John was able to diagnose my ankle issue within minutes, and I have been having issues with it for 6 months with my doctor doing nothing about it. He is extremely knowledgable and came up with a simple treatment plan for me that was easy to do at home. He taught me all the exercises and allowed me to video them so I could follow them step by step. He taught me how to tape my ankle to prevent pain and was able to advise me on where I could get other resources. The most debilitating issue were the migraines and I am very thankful to him for his time. He took a very detailed history for the initial consultation and at no point did he forget anything about this long history. He is very invested in his patients and really put me at ease. I have only had 1 headache in a month, whereas before I was getting them at least twice a week and over medicating with painkillers.
I am very grateful to him for the excellent service he provides and in the space of a few weeks he has helped improve my quality of life immensely. I am sleeping better and better able to do my job, pain free.
Physio4Life also is a lovely setting with extremely efficient receptionists who I must thank also. Thankfully I don’t need to go back to see John as I can do my rehab from home, but should I need to, I know I’ll be in good hands. I would definitely recommend seeing John Ross if you visit this clinic.
Had a fantastic recovery of a knee tendon strain, facilitated by Nathan Arnold who explained all the muscular issues so well. He took me through each step and showed me how every aspect was crucial in my progress.
I'd highly recommend!
I saw John Ross for a torn hamstring and was very impressed - unlike many physios who spend most of the appointment talking you through tons of theory and not actually treating you, he spends the time effectively. His dry needling was brilliant, and he got me back up and running again relatively soon. Physio4Life also has appointments until late in the evenings, which is very helpful in accommodating people who work late.
Saw John Ross for some new insoles. Having previously had some from Harley Street, where I just placed my feet on what I guess was a flatbed scanner, John's approach was so much more thorough. My gait and walk were both analysed. Treadmills and pressure pads and general standing observations have given me what I believe are the best insoles ever. Appointment was circa 60 minutes and the flexibility of appointment times is amazing (07:00 up to 21:30). Thanks John and Physio4Life. Will be recommending you and seeing you regularly.
Excellent Physiotherapy sessions. The rehab work done and given to do at home got me back to full shoulder health very quickly. A special thanks to John Ross who was able to get me back to training swiftly :).
Physio for Life is such a warm & welcoming clinic from consultation through treatment.
My Physio Lucy listened carefully to my concerns & devised a bespoke treatment plan to suit my needs. She answered all my (many!) questions with professional advice; reassuring me throughout my recovery journey!
Thank you so much Lucy!
Would highly recommend Physio 4 Life. I see Roxanne for Osteopathy treatment which has really helped me tackle my chronic back pain which has troubled me for years and make good changes to sustain that. Roxanne herself is wonderful - really friendly but always professional and always really engaged with my treatment. The reception staff are lovely as well and compared to places I was considering visiting in Central London, the prices are reasonable. Overall, can it fault this place!
It's a great place and I can recommend Stuart! Before I met him in early August I suffered 6.months from shoulder injury (I saw other specialist but didn't help) and at the same time I developed a knee injury from running. He explained everything and told me what to do. Right now my shoulder is really well and I'm more aware of my body and posture. I'm still recovering from knee injury but all exercises given by Stuart really help and I feel like every week I can run a bit more which is the goal.
I went to physio 4 life after a month suffering from my neck being completely stiffed and in a lot of pain. My physiotherapist, Nathan Arnold, was just amazing. I got back to normal after 4 sessions. Thank you so much, guys, great place and great professionals.
I've been working with Stuart for almost a year now, and I've made consistent progress towards some pretty large goals I set during my initial consultation. Not only is he very knowledgeable about his work, he's incredibly personable and sessions are always productive. I really can't speak highly enough of the treatment I've received.
Fabulous Scarwork massage! One year after keyhole abdominal surgery, my stomach and abdomen still felt a bit numb and restricted with hard areas around some of the scars. I would experience an uncomfortable tugging feeling whenever I stretched. Things just did not feel "right".
Luckily, I discovered Scarwork, which has done wonders for softening the scars, restoring feeling and greatly reducing the tugging. Andreea is superb, as is the clinic manager. Highly recommended.
Saw Stuart for nearly a year for physio on my hips, can't recommend him/physio for life enough. He was really knowledgeable, patient and explained things in ways that made sure I fully understood what the issue was and how to manage it. Most importantly he's given me the knowledge to manage any future symptoms on my own should I flare up!
Keval at Physio4life has been awesome in helping me through the recovery of my damaged ankle. His advice, guidance and encouragement have me back on my feet and excited for the next Marathon in April.
Being looked after by someone as good as Kev has made the whole injury process much easier, not to mention the great reception staff who have been so accommodating and helpful throughout
THANK you guys! Conor
I recently visited Physio4life for knee problems. Nathan is one of the most perceptive physios I’ve ever met. He identified my ailment quickly and was very clear with the exercises required. Nathan was always encouraging and put lots of effort into my recovery. He is just great at his job and always believed that I would recover fully. He was right, and within 2-3 months I was able to hike, surf and cycle. I am incredibly grateful that I saw him and consequently have been able to travel without limitations. Can absolutely recommend!
Recently sought help for a sports injury in my hip which stopped me from running. Got an initial assessment appointment quickly and started a course of treatment with Eoghan. Eoghan got to the root of the problem straightaway and designed an exercise plan to increase strength, and I a now back running again. Eoghan and all the staff I met were very friendly and helpful and it was easy to get convenient appointment times. Highly recommended.
Having suffered with long term back problems going to Physio4Life has all but sorted me out. The initial physio was excellent but what has really helped is regular massage from Andreea Ivanov. She listens to the problems and understands exactly how to sort them. A really excellent clinic and staff, can’t recommend them highly enough.
During my treatment I felt very secure with Kev's work. He cared about explaining to me everything we were doing in each session and how that would help in my recovery. Not only I got rid of the pain, I also regained my confidence to run again.
Recently I've had a number of sessions for a torn hamstring with Lucy Sacarello. Lucy has bean brilliant getting me back on my feet and full time training. She's very knowledgeable, was great at explaining the ins and out of my injury to me and putting together a full plan to ensure I'll be ready for my next event in December. As a keen athlete herself she has also given me additional advice on conditioning to help me improve my future performance and help prevent injury. I would happily recommend Lucy to those need a physio. In fact I have already given one recommendation to a colleague I work with!
Had a great experience with Physio Nathan Arnold. I had five sessions with Nathan for back and neck pain. He is patient, an excellent listener, explains things very well including the science of it, and overall is a very nice and friendly person. His diagnosis of what was causing the problems and the exercises he taught me has put me in a much better shape in five weeks & given me the confidence that if I follow these, I can avoid the problems in the future. Recommend him very strongly!
Superb !!! Roxanne wove magic to rid me of acute pain . Service/ Similarly excellent. .On their web site I applied for a call back , this came one minute later and 2 hours later I had been healed and was on my way. Thank you very much .
Having struggled with pain and discomfort in my left lower leg for a fair while when trying even shorter runs, I went to Physio 4 Life on the recommendation of a friend. John Ross identified the issue quickly and took me through the short course of treatment in a brilliant manner, especially for someone very unfamiliar with sports medicine. A week after finishing my 4 sessions with John, I completed my first 10km run in 2 months. Very, very happy with the service, process and results, and would recommend them to anyone in London.
I had a shoulder injury for the better part of last year, went to see a first physio in another practice that didn't work out well at all. Arrived to Phyio4Life with caution and was so pleasantly surprised. John was amazing. He diagnosed the right cause straight away and from that built up a treatment plan for the next 12 weeks. I just has my last session yesterday and the shoulder looks good, recovered 100%. John was very professional, gave me useful exercises to do at home / gym, followed up on my progress. Really great place, very efficient team of physios.
I injured my back two months ago and have had 4 physio sessions with Lucy. I couldn’t rave about her more. She made me feel comfortable from my first session to my last. Lucy helpfully saw what my problem was and guided me through my recovery with ease. She confidently explained what was happening with my back and how to target the pain with useful exercises. She was always cheerful and kind. I’m now feeling so much better and back to playing tennis again thanks to Lucy and Physio4life. Also the receptionists are so lovely here too. After a bit of a bumpy start mainly down to a bad reaction to codine, one kindly cleared my stomach contents up off the floor. Apologies again for that. If you want to see good, fast results and have a helpful physio guide you through, choose Lucy.
Went in a few weeks back and saw Andreea. I wanted to free up my shoulder post surgery and was hugely surprised that she was also able to offer Scar Massage - something I’d never heard of. I let her do what she wanted/needed to do and was extremely happy. I’ve had a friend go since, with a different therapist and reported a great experience too.
I was very impressed by the expertise of everyone at the clinic. Runs pretty much like clockwork.
The reception staff are really friendly and always manage to find an appointment that suits me.
My physiotherapist Keval was very friendly and professional. He approached my injury with sympathy and reassurance.
I have only attended two sessions and already seeing an improvement in my pain and mobility thankfully.
Keval was also able to provide me with exercises that would strengthen my muscles and prevent further injury.
Great facilities all round, highly recommend them.
Honestly cannot be more impressed with the service at physio4life. Ive had chronic back pain from such a young age. Had multiple different specialists help me with little progress but i was recommended by a friend to go and see keval. Not only was his advice gold. But honest and reliable. His treatments had me back at work full of life. He even found the true cause of my pain which no one was able to do. So not only just treating or managing the pain but he also has prevented any future reoccurence. Great service. Highly recommend !
I cannot recommend this place highly enough, I’ve have been suffering serious lower back pain for a couple of months now from a life time of physically abusing my body…
I phoned up on Sunday morning and I was able to get a session with James in the afternoon, he gave me effective treatment and follow up exercises that has helped relieved the pain and increase mobility.
I will return for further treatment...
Awesome job James!
Thank you, Sean.
I cannot recommend physio4life and its staff enough. I have been treated for both Achilles problems and a dislocated shoulder over the past few years and each time I have been impressed by the expertise of the physios. The clinic is in a great location and the facilities are excellent. The reception staff are really friendly and always manage to find an appointment early morning or in the evening to fit in with work.
Being a sporty family we need the use of a good physio and have been using Physio4life for over 10 years. They have excellent facilities great location and more importantly brilliant physios. My children and myself have benefited hugely from their expertise. I would highly recommend.
Really professional, and the team always have my best interest and put my health and recovery first. Vicky Pitcher is absolutely awesome & insiightful, and I always feel much better after visiting her for my back injury.
I visited physio4life for a sports massage and highly recommend them. I saw Izabela for a shoulder pain I had for the longest time, and she was able to help me after my very first treatment ! The reception team were great and really friendly, my whole experience was definitely 5 stars. Thanks again !
One of the best clinics I've been to. I've had issues with hypermobile EDS for years and managed to mess up my back this time around. I was booked in immediately with the osteopath Roxane who, aside from quickly sorting my back pain, was incredibly friendly and provided me with a lot of information as to how best to manage my hypermobility. I would 100% recommend this clinic and would certainly return again.
I was referred here by my private health care provider for a lower back sports injury... my physio, Stuart knew exactly what he was talking about and reassured me we can get me back to playing netball and create a plan to prevent this injury from reoccurring.
Only had my initial assessment and already have exercises to work on and advise on what I can and can not do whilst in recovery.
Managed to get an appointment same day and my follow up just a few days later. Bonus they are open late and at weekends!!!!
I would recommend this to all my friends!
Victoria is very professional, hard working, friendly and helpful. After just one session and following the recommended exercises the pain in my knee significantly subsided. I would like to thank Victoria again for being so brilliant and helpful.
Convenient evening appointments, and intelligent professional and friendly treatment from Victoria that sorted out my headaches with a couple of appointments. 2 other family members have used this practice and also been extremely impressed.
Best Physio Clinic & Sports Massages in London. I have been visiting Physio4Life for around 6 years and have had several physio treatments for back or leg issues which have always been really helpful. I also have regular sports massages just for my own wellbeing because they really help take away the tension built up by sitting in an office all day and I find them so relaxing. I have tried other clinics in London but quite frankly I have never found a clinic that is as professional and convenient to visit. All the therapists are highly trained and skilled and I think this clinic is another great reason to live in Putney!
I was having headaches every day, was in a really bad place. Saw Hugo for a few sessions and the relief was enormous. The headaches subsided, I felt great. And what's best, I've been to physio's before where you feel as if there's no end to the tunnel, you'll always be going back and paying more money to get sessions every week for the rest of your life. But that wasn't how things work here. From the beginning there was a clear path to recovery, there was always an end goal - To relieve the headaches and give me the tools I needed to ensure they don't come back. Once that goal was achieved, Hugo said there was no need to come back unless something changed or I needed help. I really value that approach. Plus, Hugo is a super nice guy, always helps.
I was experiencing neck pain after a netball injury, which was preventing me from training/ playing. After being in pain for over a week, I went to see Hugo who was absolutely brilliant. He listened and assessed my injury and with his techniques I was over 50% recovered after just one session. Thanks Hugo for fixing my neck injury - I am so glad to be back playing netball!! 🙂
This place has completely saved me! A classical musician, I was forced to pull out of a concert midway through due to unexplained loss of feeling in my arm. I managed to get through to the wonderful receptionist at 9 30pm on a Friday night, who set me up with an appointment at 1pm the next day. I am now having regular appointments with Keval, who not only diagnosed me at the first appointment, has me back playing and performing again but also calmed me down with his professionalism and reassurance. Would recommend without reserve!
I first visited Physio4Life in August after hurting my lower back. I rang in the morning and managed to get an appointment the same day. I saw Hugo who has helped so much! When I first went it hurt to walk and I could not bend my back at all without pain. I have seen Hugo 8 times now and my lower pain is so much better - I no longer have any pain.
I have also just started Pilates with Stasia to strengthen my back which I have found really good.
I would definitely recommend Physio4Life is anyone.
Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Did my back in due to bad posture at work, culminating in losing full mobility. Phoned on a Saturday and got an appointment early Monday morning. Was seen by Hugo and his level of service was outstanding. Very professional whilst being very friendly. Over 4 sessions gave me effective treatment with follow up exercises that have got me back to fighting form!
December 2016 I had a terrible fall and severely hurt my ankle, after xrays, boot and crutches for an extended period of time I did make a good recovery, however I re injured it shortly after, not by doing much I hasten too add. I found myself in incredible pain and back on crutches and completely out of action! James helped me with my ankle by doing tapping , physio and prescribing me with some exercises with a resistance bands. I also had a bunch of others to do. Very rapidly I was pain free then after a few more sessions the tapping was removed and my ankle was mostly functional, just rather stiff. Now I am a good ankle shape, I dont even think about it, the stiffness went and I am completely pain free!! I still do my exercises as I accept it is an injury I will have to manage. James is an extremely knowledgeable and gifted physio who specialises in knees, toes and ankles!!! Thank-you so much James! I am booking an overland trip to Africa now.
A friend recommended me Physio4Life for sever back pain that I started having in the end of July. I was treated by Victoria who diagnosed my condition as cauda equina syndrome and urged me to immediately go to A&E.
Thanks to her timely diagnosis and the amazing treatment at the hospital I am still able to walk, as this condition can quickly leave someone paralyzed if it's not surgically treated.
Victoria has been treating me for my post-surgery recovery even since and has helped me to steadily get stronger over time. Both her and Hugo who also treated me for a short period are extremely knowledgeable and caring, and will patiently explain all the rehabilitation exercises.
Would definitely recommend going there!
Highly recommend both Victoria pitcher and Chris Hughes. Both are kind, understanding and knowledgeable physios who make you feel at ease and get to the bottom of the issue and seek to treat the cause. Future patients you are in good hands!!
I would highly recommend Physio 4 Life. I needed physio for tendonitis in my foot and Hugo has been great. His impressive knowledge, treatment and range of home strengthening exercises have helped my foot enormously and gave me back the confidence I had lost when I was injured. Thank you!
Hugo really helped me with my back. He fixed my initial problem and identified other areas for improvement and gave me the exercises that would help me. My back is now better (and still improving) than it was before my injury. I won't hesitate to go back with any other problem. Thanks.
I cannot speak highly enough of James. He's working so hard on fixing my running injury and getting me back to where I want to be. He's such a lovely, funny person who absolutely puts you at ease. The receptionists are also great, they remember who you are when you arrive and work efficiently. I would absolutely recommend anyone dealing with sports injury or looking for a recovery training plan go here.
I cannot recommend Physio4Life and Hugo highly enough! After several months of treatment following knee surgery, Hugo's attitude and confidence in my recovery made any slow progress that much easier to deal with. It was always a pleasure to be greeted by such a friendly reception team as well and, to be honest, I'm a little sad I'm back to full health and don't get to catch up with the great team there anymore!!
Twice weekly seshs here since March on an arduous recovery from challenging shoulder surgery. James is a fab and understanding physio, reception team (who always seem very happy & engaged) are superbly organised & highly efficient, quite the best I've experienced in the world of surgeries. Totally recommended.
James rehabilitated my ankle following a complex arthroscopy. His knowledge is really impressive, always knowing or quickly discovering the cause of pains and always ready with solutions. He was recommended by the surgeon and it is easy to see why. Now back long-distance running.
I cannot recommend this place enough! I had to be referred twice (back pain and then a very painful knee injury). Hugo took such good care of me and is such a cracking character that he made everything feel so easy and I was always confident in his approach and his treatment and recovery plan. Above all it was very effective! I have honestly never felt better in my life! Also the staff at reception is the nicest - they even remember people's names! Oh and there's free tea and coffee in reception 🙂 so now I'm pain free and it's all thanks to Hugo! Thank you!
Had a great experience with the Physio 4 Life team over the past year. Everyone was always friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Hugo, he did everything he could possibly do to resolve my plantar fasciitis problem. I'd highly recommend them!
I've had a great experience with Physio4Life. Their physiotherapist Hugo Chinchilla has solved my lower back pain within 5 sessions. An excellent and very friendly professional I'd definitely recommend to anyone.
James has been instrumental in making sure I return to play as soon as possible, being a professional netball athlete my feet are hugely important. James was able to diagnose various issues with my feet, and clearly explain how these could be modified with the orthotics he would mould for me.
He went above and beyond to provide the best service possible and I am eternally grateful.
I use physio4life on two counts - James is a brilliant physiotherapist, knowledgeable, skilful (and humorous); and Dan runs an older persons' circuit training exercise class - great fun, and as accessible or challenging as you want to make it
Amazing, Amazing!!!! I encountered a calf injury 5 weeks before the Great North Run and I thought my life had ended….not only did Physio 4 Life nurture my leg back to life, their guidance and bed side manner is second to none…A massive Thank you to you all for getting me over that line without further injury!! I think…I did it!
I have been going to physio sessions here for the past two weeks – best decision ever. The treatment with Niamh has been very pleasant and helpful both mentally and physically since day one. Thank you :)
I have to give massive thanks to James McCormack at Physio4Life. On a training run two weeks before the 2016 New York City Marathon (my first ever marathon!) On the 6th November 2016, through James’ help, I managed to finish the marathon! I can’t thank James and Physio4Life enough. I’ll certainly be back to attend their running clinic before my next running event!
