Pierre Meslet: Registered GOsC Osteopath
French born osteopath Pierre Meslet recently moved back to London after working for four years in a very successful practice in Singapore. Prior to this enriching experience in South East Asia, Pierre trained as an osteopath in the UK and studied physiotherapy in Canada. He also holds a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science from France.
With almost 10 years’ experience in treating newborns, young mothers, elite athletes and the elderly, Pierre has a distinctive approach to treatment. His unique combination of qualifications provides him with a comprehensive set of skills when it comes to addressing the root cause of an injury or a complaint. He actively applies concepts of rehabilitation within his osteopathic treatments.
Pierre has a lifetime passion for sports and he specialises in sports injuries. In London and Singapore, he treated elite and amateur runners, triathletes as well as rowers and rugby players. Being a keen runner himself (Top 50 at the Ultra-Trail World Tour 2015), he understands common running injuries and the frustration arising from these. He was fortunate enough to put these skills to use on some of the best athletes in the world during the London 2012 Olympic Games as a member of the medical team. He is currently undergoing the selection process to work with the Olympic Games’ medical team once again in Brazil next summer.
Whilst in Singapore, Pierre also worked closely with midwives and lactation consultants. This allowed him to further enhance his expertise in the treatment of newborn conditions, especially relating to feeding difficulties, torticollis and plagiocephaly (flattening of the head).
